'Broken chain!'

The chain ferry service operating between Sandbanks and Studland in Dorset was opened by the Bournemouth–Swanage Motor Road and Ferry Company in 1923. The current ferry, the Bramble Bush Bay, started service in 1994 and has unfortunately had its chains broken twice, once in 1996 and a second time in 2014. This cartoon shows the helpless ferry drifting out to sea after an unfortunate chain breakage.
